Description and Requirements

Provides primarily pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions. Works with vendors, partners, and sales to ensure that optimum systems solutions are provided to new and existing customers. Develops processes and systems to provide quick yet thorough response to customer Requests For Proposal. Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations. Assists the sales team in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions. Creates detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions. Builds a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client. Provides consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Uses full understanding of discipline to resolve complex issues in creative and efficient ways. Applies judgement in evaluating and proposing recommendations to resolve issues that often require deep analysis and interpretation of data. Participates in, and may lead, cross-functional and department teams. Plans and executes tasks with very little supervision. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR advanced degree with 6 years of experience required.
