We are looking for an up-and-coming Product Manager to help chart the course of a mature product line used by companies throughout the Global Fortune 500.   

You will work with other BMC product managers to identify key business and product challenges facing our customers. and use this knowledge to prioritize new features and capabilities that will effectively solve them. You will do this by working closely with customers,  the engineering teams, and other leaders across the business in order to define a compelling product roadmap. 

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about managing challenging projects across multiple teams, locations, and products. He or she will be comfortable leading conversations with customers at all levels of an organization.  The ideal candidate will be an excellent listener as well as someone who is comfortable delivering both good news and bad news in an honest and transparent manner. We are looking for a Product Manager who shares BMC's passion for the customer—someone who understands the importance of driving a great customer experience. 

Understand the market and competition around the IT Operations Management / IT Service Management space.
Work with customers (both internal and external) to prioritize and drive improvements into the existing product sets to deliver additional value to the customer base
Form close working partnerships with your R&D counterparts and provide “the voice of the customer” to articulate market/customer needs, define requirements and help prioritize our development work. 
Support the solutions marketing team to clearly articulate the value of our solutions and the problems we help solve. Help enable our field teams to successfully sell our offerings, and support the Sales and Technical Support teams with customer meetings. 

An ideal candidates will be an excellent communicator with a technical background, either from R&D, pre-sales, or I.T. Operations. They will be passionate about helping to solve customer challenges. They will have a commitment to honest, direct, and transparent communications. They will have a strong sense of commitment to the teams they work with, and be able to interact with confidence with many parts of the business.  They will have experience working in agile development environments 
Over all 10+ years of experience with 2 years of product management experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (spoken and written)
Skilled at driving project through influence, and an ability to navigate a complex and unstructured cross-functional environment.
Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically.
Experience in agile development concepts and practices
Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts
Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.
Strong team spirit and can-do attitude.  Willingness to take ownership of issues to resolution. 
Ability to work flexible hours to allow for communication with colleagues in the  U.S.A during their mornings
