About Business Unit:
BMC mainframe solutions draw on decades of expertise and innovation to leverage AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics to achieve a self-managing mainframe. Key elements of a self-managing mainframe: Multivariate analysis, Predictive analytics, Root-cause analysis, Prescribed remediation, Intelligent automation and Built-in domain expertise. Db2 Backup and Recovery products.
In this role you will be:
As an Assembler developer, you will be working on complex problems where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Your work may include collaboration across different BMC product lines. You will be managing a varied workload of multiple ongoing tasks including new function development and product maintenance. You will be communicating with various teams to help resolve customer issues. As part of the development team, it would be your responsibility to develop and debug software products.
What we are looking for:
- Strong experience in Assembler, JCL, VSAM, SDSF, ISPF.
- Willing to learn C, C++
- Strong Diagnostics, Debugging, and Troubleshooting skills to include diagnosing SVC dumps.
- Experience in designing and implementing mainframe applications in an IBM z/OS environment.
Desired (Nice-To-Have) Skills:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to participate in customer call to understand customer issues and provide workarounds and
- Nice to have “USS” skills.
