Job title: Staff Product Developer - India

What you’ll be doing:

Contributing member of the Development team responsible for developing and debugging of software products under the guidance of senior leaders. The role requires a good knowledge of product domain, the Agile software development methodology and the process involved in product development and maintenance. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Accurately estimates the size and scope of the development effort of projects. Develops and tests product code according to BMC quality standards. Candidate must be motivated, think and work independently as well as within a team to provide quality solutions, and have strong communication skills. Able to manage a mixed workload of multiple ongoing tasks including new function development and product maintenance.

About you:

6 to 8 years of experience designing and developing mainframe applications and system exits in an IBM z/OS environment.

Strong experience in z/OS Assembler, JCL, VSAM, JES2/3, SDSF, ISPF.

Strong experience in at least one DBMS (IMS/DB2).

Strong Diagnostics, Debugging and Troubleshooting skills.

Strong experience in z Enterprise Architecture and z/OS Internals.

Strong experience in test automation using scripting languages like REXX, Python, etc. and DevOps CI/CD automation with Jenkins or similar tools.

Experience in Agile methodology and use of Jira.

Experience with writing documentation for developed applications and features.

Strong English communication skills.
