PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

z/os - IMS Database Utility

PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY:

QUALIFICATION’S:

  • 5 - 10 years of experience coding and implementing mainframe applications and system exits in an IBM z/OS environment.
  • Strong Diagnostics, Debugging, and Troubleshooting skills including IPCS use.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Assembler coding of a z/os subsystem, accessing z/os control blocks, and system storage areas  
  • Strong expertise in z/os system internals and internal I/O interfaces
  • Strong experience in JCL, VSAM, JES2/3, SDSF, ISPF.
  • Experience with Z/OS, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, CLIST, and Rexx.

DESIRED (NICE-TO-HAVE) SKILLS:

  • Experience with DBMS (IMS / DB2) Database Utility Processing 
  • Experience debugging with IPCS and X/DC
  • Experience with 64-bit Assembler Instruction set
  • Experience interfacing with Quality Assurance as related to Z/OS application development, systems engineering, or software product development
  • Creating ISPF & GUI Interface Displays including program logic  
  • Experience with Z/OS Systems Programming, & SMP/E Experience with RACF, SAF, APF authorization.
  • C/C++ coding skills
