Product Description:
BMC AMI DevOps for Db2 integrates with application development orchestration tools to automatically capture database changes and communicate them to the database administrator (DBA) while enforcing DevOps best practices.
Team: z/os - IMS Database Utility

Primary Roles and Responsibility:

As a Product Developer, you must be involved in designing and supporting products for customers on the z/os platform. 
You would be working on a product that requires you to understand and solve critical problems with innovative ideas to deliver a world-class experience to our customers. 
You would need to develop a deep understanding of our customer's problems and work with a team of excellent engineers and designers to solve them.

  • 5 - 10 years of experience coding and implementing mainframe applications and system exits in an IBM z/OS environment.
  • Strong Diagnostics, Debugging, and Troubleshooting skills.
Required Skills:
  • Assembler coding of a z/os subsystem, accessing z/os control blocks, and system storage areas  
  • Strong expertise in z/os system internals and internal I/O interfaces
  • Strong experience in JCL, VSAM, JES2/3, SDSF, ISPF.
  • Experience with Z/OS, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, CLIST, and Rexx.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with DBMS (IMS / DB2) Database Utility Processing 
  • Experience debugging with IPCS and X/DC
  • Experience with a 64-bit Assembler Instruction set
  • Experience interfacing with Quality Assurance as related to Z/OS application development, systems engineering, or software product development
  • Creating ISPF & GUI Interface Displays including program logic  
  • Experience with Z/OS Systems Programming, & SMP/E Experience with RACF, SAF, APF authorization.
  • C/C++ coding skills
