Our IS&T (Information Services and Technology) department provides all the required technology and operational support services to run our business here in BMC! We have over 200 servers on premises to support production, disaster recovery, databases, applications and over 1000 servers in Lab environment. IS&T is transformational not only for BMC but also for the customer experience, because we give a 360 degrees view to the customer about the products they should know, opportunities in the pipeline, and any service issues outstanding with the customer. We use cutting-edge technologies to manage BMC's infrastructure and showcase it to the customers – program is called BMC on BMC!

BMC Software is seeking a highly motivated and accomplished Risk and Compliance Specialist to join our Corporate IS&T Cyber Security Risk & Compliance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that security capabilities and the overall security posture of services delivered by the IS&T organization align with policies and standards established within our Information Security Management System. This role encompasses vendor exhibit reviews and customer assessment responses, requiring comprehensive expertise in security, compliance, and audit disciplines.

 

How You Will Contribute to BMC's Success and Your Professional Growth:
  • Lead and support third-party certifications, internal audits, and customer assessments for BMC's IS&T services 
  • Coordinate compliance requirements and validate artifacts for SOX, SOC, ISO, and additional frameworks as necessary 
  • Provide strategic support to cross-functional cyber security teams • Maintain and enhance compliance-related document repositories 
  • Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, and Project Management Office stakeholders on certification milestones and related matters 
  • Serve as a key administrator and subject matter expert for the GRC platform
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of vendor exhibits and deliver responses to customer assessments 
  • Provide expert guidance to assurance and governance teams
  • Partner with Cyber Security teams to understand the purpose and application of their tools and technologies 
  • Deliver strategic guidance on compliance activities and requirements
To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related discipline
  • You have security and privacy certifications (preferred)
  • You have a comprehensive understanding of IT security and compliance frameworks, including NIST, ISO, SOC 2, GDPR, and HIPAA
  • You have familiarity with government compliance requirements such as FedRAMP (preferred)
  • You have experience conducting security and privacy assessments within SaaS organizations (preferred)
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • You will demonstrate adaptability and eagerness to learn new tools and technologies
  • You have strong foundational knowledge of security and privacy principles
  • You have proficiency in business communication and technical documentation
  • You have awareness of current developments in the global cybersecurity landscape
  • You will take initiative to analyze and resolve complex challenges independently
  • You will work autonomously while maintaining high performance standards
  • You will proactively expand your knowledge base and skill set within the cybersecurity field

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 2,117,800 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
