Our IS&T (Information Services and Technology) department provides all the required technology and operational support services to run our business here in BMC! We have over 200 servers on premises to support production, disaster recovery, databases, applications and over 1000 servers in Lab environment. IS&T is transformational not only for BMC but also for the customer experience, because we give a 360 degrees view to the customer about the products they should know, opportunities in the pipeline, and any service issues outstanding with the customer. We use cutting-edge technologies to manage BMC's infrastructure and showcase it to the customers – program is called BMC on BMC!
BMC is looking for an Experienced Information Security Engineer to join our amazing global Corporate Cybersecurity team!

In this role, you will build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our information security systems, while supporting internal customers. You will have the opportunity to learn multiple tools and technologies across multiple security domains enhancing and securing our digital infrastructure through automation, API integrations, and modern identity solutions. Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

• Develop, integrate, and maintain automated workflows using the Cloudflare API, enabling centralized control and efficient management of:
    o Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules
    o DNS management
    o Access policies (Cloudflare Access / Zero Trust)
    o Bot Management
    o Rate Limiting
    o Page Rules and Workers
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and Power Automate workflows for security reporting and compliance tracking.
• Develop and manage Flask-based Python applications for internal tooling and integration with security systems.
• Configure, analyze, and generate reports on Identity Governance metrics, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, business analysis, and program management to build automations and reporting.
• Develop and implement methodologies and best practices for Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Install, integrate, configure, and deploy IAM solutions to support User Life-Cycle Management, Identity Governance, Automated Provisioning, Single Sign-On (SSO), Federation, and Privileged Account Management.
• Conduct proof-of-concepts, evaluations, and documentation of new security capabilities, identifying opportunities to enhance IAM solutions.
• Identify integration opportunities between security solutions and automation frameworks, enhancing security and compliance.
• Senior quality assurance and testing efforts for new functionalities, ensuring seamless implementation.
• Collaborate with virtual teams and management to collect user requirements, document processes, and support implementation.
• Act as the expert, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and expertise on security technologies and methodologies.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in security applications like Okta, Cloudflare of which, at least 2- 3 years in python scripting with workflows and vendor-based REST API integration
  • Experience with IAM/SSO/Passwordless authentication technologies like Beyond Identity, Okta SSO
  • Okta administration experience - Strong expertise with: 
    • SSO integrations (SAML 2.0, OIDC, OAuth2)
    • MFA configuration & policy design
    • Okta Workflows for automation
    • Universal Directory and group rules
    • SCIM provisioning
  • Proven expertise in Cloudflare technologies, including:
    • API integration
    • WAF configuration and tuning
    • DNS and traffic routing
    • Access / Zero Trust setup
    • Security analytics
    • Web Application Firewall
  • Strong scripting and automation experience using Python (including Flask framework).
  • Experience with Power BI for visualization and dashboard creation.
  • Experience with public cloud security & governance: AWS, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, Azure etc
  • Experience with Windows, Mac and Unix platforms
  • Experience in networking protocols and services (FTP, HTTP, SSH, SMB, LDAP)

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 2,117,800 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
