Title: Staff Sourcing Analyst
Location: Pune

BU/Product Description & Job Overview/Role of the candidate:
As GP Staff Sourcing Analyst you will be planning and directing the daily activities of assigned categories within a BMC functional area, based on a mid-term work plan and set of objectives.  You will be responsible for a range of goods and services, functional activity, or geographical areas.  

Primary Responsibilities: 
  • You will be managing services procurement for the assigned Category (which may change over time as per work requirement): Understands supplier base within the assigned category, services provided, and how suppliers are segmented. 
  • You will proactively solve routine Supplier as well as Stakeholders’ issues that arise related to transactions managed. 
  • Keep Stakeholders and Business Stakeholders engaged and informed; Remain informed of the services being provided and evolving market conditions
  • You will be managing Supplier as well as Business stakeholder relationships at a global level: Engages internal stakeholders when necessary to execute primary responsibilities and performs tasks as directed to meet the needs. Learns best practices asks questions, and elevates issues when necessary.
  • Identifies and flags risk areas associated with primary responsibilities and assigned tasks. Asks questions and seeks further understanding about unknown areas that raise concern.
  • Assesses needs of stakeholders, conducts market analysis, and provides recommendations on supplier selection. Is aware of audit requirements and ability to maintain and showcase audit trail as when needed
  • Constructs and executes plans for achieving lower prices on contracts
  • Good understanding of Contractual terms and requirements. Able to negotiate contracts with Suppliers independently.
  • Knowledge of developing strategic short-term/long-term category/sub-category strategy for responsible areas 
  • Good to have experience in Oracle Purchasing (preferred) or another ERP
  • Analytical acumen to perform spend analysis, deep dive into data, and put results into concise executive summary in PowerPoint
  • Advanced/Expert ability in working with business and finance leaders to identify and drive savings and controllership improvements 
  • Strong ability to influence and steer the highly ethical processes with business partners and suppliers.
Qualification:
Required Skills
:
  • Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, or closely related business field, advanced degree a plus
  • 2-3 years professional work experience 
  • Multi-national work experience is a must (in-country or in a support capacity)
  • Expert analytic skills and ability to conceptualize and develop strategies and build models for business-related concepts 
  • Proven track record and continually displays growth within managed category YoY
  • Expert in Excel and Powerpoint with the ability to prepare and deliver compelling business presentations
  • Excellent communication skills (written as well as Oral) to interact with suppliers as well as stakeholders in different geographies.
  • Willing to work in the EMEA time zone.
