Description and Requirements

The Staff Sourcing Analyst is responsible for managing assigned category’s or categories’ suppliers and spend for the assigned region(s).  

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand and source suppliers to meet requirements while addressing budget, service levels, and other total cost of ownership (TCO) factors.
  • Assist in developing and implementing a category strategy.  
  • Gather and analyze spending data, as well as local, regional, and global market data to ensure competitive pricing through all phases of contract negotiations.
  • Exercises judgment within defined policies and procedures to determine appropriate action.
  • Assist in implementing category management tools and processes to enhance spend analytics and customer service.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report supplier performance.
  • Build collaborative networks and relationships across BMC to drive optimal results, customer satisfaction, and compliance.
  • Consistently provide feedback to upper management regarding status of projects, activities and/or initiatives.


  • Capabilities & Competencies for Success:
  • Proven track record of applying Procurement principles, theories, and concepts to achieve optimal results.
  • Working knowledge of contractual terms and conditions.
  • Ability to plan and organize project and sourcing schedules and meet all deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate well in both verbal and written form, with emphasis on negotiation and supplier relationship skills
  • Strong background in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Intellectual curiosity that drives analysis and continual education

  • Bachelors degree or better in Supply Chain, Finance, or other Business Discipline, with proven track record of academic success
  • 2-4 Years work experience
