The PreSales Demo COE centralizes the creation, distribution and support of standardized, cataloged, value-based, customer-facing PreSales collateral, including tens of thousands of annual live solution demonstrations. Centralization leads to increasing team expertise and scalability, and the identification of best practices for use by the entire Sales organization. Consumers of our content and services include internal BMC employees, partners and external customers. 

We are seeking best-in-industry professionals to complete our team of technical solution engineers, content designers, and virtualization platform engineers. Our ideal candidate will have significant technical presales experience, including heavy customer document and video creation. The new team member would be responsible for creating world-class, value-based PreSales customer marketing collateral, aligned tightly with BMC solution demonstration environments. The new member may also secondarily assist in supporting our internal demo automation platform

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

Create highly designed modular customer videos, animations and documents to be delivered with BMC Software solution demonstrations.

Design, develop, catalogue, publish and promote new, inspiring and differentiated content that can be used to excite our audiences and demonstrate BMC’s expertise in various fields and in the context of digital transformation.  Accurately position BMC’s capabilities and value in a way that aligns those tiers and best suits the audience and market conditions.

Manage a database of Product, Feature, Benefit, Use Case and Persona information for standardization across BMC. Update data as needed, ensuring all content remains consistent.

Assist PreSales Solution Engineers in customizing and supporting demonstration environments for specific customers, personas and verticals.

Capture demo data requirements for each solution release and ensure accurate replication onto new demo deployments by working closely with the demo deployment team.

Gather bug information and best practice requirements, and work with demo developers to include in later demo releases.

Must be able to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve complex, cross-solution integration issues.

Provide administrative support for the VMware-based BMC Demo Cloud (BDC), and other cloud environments on which demonstrations are delivered.


Ideal candidate will have 5-10 years PreSales or solutions marketing experience.

Ideal candidate will have experience in BMC solution sales, implementation or support.

Has engaged with or has supported Presales customer opportunities across various verticals

Excellent English communication skills and ability to communicate to an executive audience.

Ability to build strong stories and compelling value-based narratives

Understanding of DevOps development and release processes.

Proficiency in VMware and automation for secondary role in demo platform support.

Comfortable working across multiple teams and cultures

Expert MS PowerPoint, Camtasia, MS Word, GoAnimate and video production skills

A flexible attitude and an ability to produce excellent work with minimal guidance

Willing to meet at early or late hours as needed to interface with global teammates and customers.

This role requires a balance of technical, communication and marketing skills: it’s critical that you understand what drives buyers to make investments in technology and the role of content in influencing buying decisions. You should have a sense of the forces shaping the future evolution of this discipline. 

It’s also vitally important that you can communicate these concepts with ease and confidence, both in writing and in person. You will have an in-depth understand of how sales and PreSales organizations in technology companies work and how best you can work with the various teams that will provide you with information and consume the work you produce.
