BU Description:
Data Center Infrastructure Management team within the Enterprise Cloud and Communication Services in BMC IS&T is responsible for managing Data Center, Infrastructure availability and associated activities that runs BMC and its customers Business’s. 

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to manage regional and Global Data Center operations
Receive shipments, keep track of inventory, install hardware, perform upgrades and do routine break/fix tasks. 
Audit and maintain consistent rack layouts, RMA hardware and work with systems engineers to provisioning. 
Perform installation and ensure effective layout of all tools & cabling as per industry practices.
Oversee capacity planning, perform power audits and ensure appropriate supply of power to all equipment’s.
You will manage all malfunctioning equipment’s and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment’s to avoid outages.
Maintain standards of service levels at all times, ensure response with timeframe and manage all available services.
Use knowledge & expertise to contribute to process improvement.
Comfortable working in rotational shifts.
Work with Change & Incident Management Tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required for interaction with a global team.
Work independently with minimal supervision, normally receiving minimal instruction on day-to-work activities.
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires thorough evaluation.
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. 
Use skills and experience to identify and resolve a wide range of issues in practical and imaginative ways.
Assess and communicate risks based on complexity, resource and timeline constraints.
Ability to work in cross functional teams and influence the outcome.

KNOWLEDGE: Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, experience with troubleshooting Hardware with OEM’s like HP, Cisco, Dell EMC, IBM , Hitachi etc. 
JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.
SUPERVISION: Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of Data Center Operations including design, maintenance & Hardware Support experience.
Should be willing to work in rotational shifts (24/5) & available OnCall basis. 

Unix/Linux &Windows OS Troubleshooting
Knowledge or Experience with Public Cloud Administration, Virtualization (VMware), Docker, Kubernetes 
Back-up & DR Experience
