BU Description:
This is a staff Platform System Administrator position in the Cloud Infrastructure team. Team provides in depth cross-platform server support, systems engineering functions in geographically diverse Datacentres.
Our Duties and responsibilities include design, configuration, testing and implementation of server systems hardware, operating systems & maintenance. Team works on wide range of systems and services to ensure its available and performing normally for critical business operations.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
• Must ensure technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure
• Administer, maintain and support Linux (RHEL/CentOS) operating systems and exposure to any 2 of the UNIX flavours (HP-UX, Solaris & AIX).
• Resolve major incidents and technical escalations within agreed SLAs and quality.
• Good Understanding of Problem Management & Change Management
• Install hardware and software, maintain appropriate service levels, performance tuning and firmware upgrades across multiple hardware platforms.
• Perform tasks such as, capacity planning, performance monitoring, provide recommendations for improvement in the infrastructure
• The candidate must be able to translate requirements into a technical design.
• Plan for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.
• OS Configuration Compliance and Patching of Linux, Rancher, Kubernetes.
• Maintain and Support all Unix Hardware Platforms.
• Capacity Management
Qualifications:
• Strong Knowledge & Experience in RHEL Linux, AIX, Solaris
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Supporting Linux and Unix operating systems.
• Minimum 1-year experience in Rancher, Kubernetes and docket container solution
• Musk know Python, Shell scripting
• Must have basic Knowledge of VMware vSphere, AWS, GCP.
• Current with technological developments in systems administration technology
• Comfortable working in rotational shifts.
• Work with Change & Incident Management Tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to work in cross functional teams and influence the outcome.
• Graduation (12 + 3).
• ITIL, Red hat, VCP certification
• Certified Kubernetes Administer, AWS Certification is an added advantage.
