Title: Senior Community Developer

Location: Pune / Bangalore


As a Senior Community Developer (Front End) you will be playing a key role within the BMC Digital Support Team participating in the betterment of BMC Community integrations and supporting our core business needs.

You will drive the front-end framework (HTML/CSS/JS) architecture, design, code quality, and maintenance for BMC Digital Support solutions. Projects can range from pure client-side static pages to working on a proprietary framework with server-side templates. 


·       You will be working with BMC Digital Support teams to create and improve existing BMC Community site templates and interactive features

·       Configure/build new and enhanced functionality in the Salesforce Community Cloud (Salesforce Experience Cloud) platform using declarative and/or programmatic solutions

·       Maintain and configure our development and test instances for our internal sandboxes.

·       Lead and manage the design, configuration, and deployment of BMC Community.

·       Customize/build Salesforce Community Cloud applications using Custom Objects, Workflows,Validations, Lightning Components, LWC (Lightning Web Components), APIs (Application Programming Interface) (Application Programming Interface), etc. while adhering to Salesforce best practices

·       Actively participate in/lead walk-throughs/demos and reviews with the team (as needed).

·       Follow Agile software development methodology and team architecture standards.

·       Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues/defects

Required Skills

·       Ability to explain highly complex technical issues to non-technical executives.

·       5 years+ experience in building Communities using Salesforce Experience builder and workspaces.

·       Salesforce Administration experience.

·       Experience creating and maintaining Salesforce Reports.

·       Experience migrating data from source to Salesforce using Data loader and advanced SOQL

·       Hands-on experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Apex

·       Experience with Agile tools like Jira, Rally, etc.

·       Declarative customization including the creation of Flow, Process Builder, Approval Processes, Validation Rules, Workflow rules, Reports, and Dashboards

·       Understanding of Salesforce security models for OWDs, Profiles, Permission Sets, and Sharing Rules

·       Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and development best practices

·       Highly skilled in building custom integrations on Salesforce platforms like Coveo and Remedy.

·       Working knowledge of web services development using rest API, SOAP services, etc.

Desired (Good to have skills):

·       Experience with Salesforce platform (mobile web) production deployments working in an agile methodology environment

·       Development experience in Salesforce Communities, Lightning App Builder, Aura Lightning Components, and LWC
Advanced experience with APEX, Visual Force, Process Automation, Triggers

·       Experience in Continuous Integration Tools (Git, Jenkins, Ant)

·       Data Modelling and Management, API development, and External Service Integration.
