Description and Requirements

BMC Software Sr Value Engineer's are responsible for key deliverable's associated to BMC's Value Based Selling process. 

A Sr Value Engineer is autonomous in nature, working directly with Sales and Presales organizations in order to create strategy, timelines and deliverable's to align customers initiatives to BMC's solutions.  

Key responsibilities include:
  • Engaging with customer executives directly in order to clearly align BMC and customer goals.
  • Establishing Customer opportunity timelines for deliverable's
  • Coach sales team on critical business issues faced by customers and helps articulate BMC value proposition from a business value point of view 
  • Establish credibility quickly with executive customer stakeholders
  • Builds financial models that map solutions to business value 
  • Views the end products from a customer perspective 
  • Can draw insights about customers from public sources 
  • Turn presentations into a constructive dialogue moving the group to conclusions 
  • Leverage your internal and customer network to add to the sales cycle 
  • Invest time in documenting best practices, capturing and disseminating knowledge and other initiatives that enhance the organization 

  • 10+ years experience in value engineering or consulting role
  • MBA and/or relevant experience in finance, consulting and IT industry
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
  • Has prior experience/understanding of large software deals, either within or outside BMC
  • Has experience with BMC and/or other software deployments and can articulate critical success factors 
  • Substantial experience working in an enterprise-type software consulting, implementation, and training experience a plus.
  • Project management experience involving software implementation. 
  • Professional consulting experience, presentation and character.
  • Analyze customer needs and implement solutions through research and troubleshooting and recommending a solution
