Whilst Digital Business Automation is a discipline is associated with the orchestration of Production workloads, Control-M is developing its coverage to address challenges in both development and data related disciplines. It covers the orchestration of ERP solutions, Data Integration and BI solutions and is making inroads into the Big Data space.

Automated process orchestration gets us more and more involved with the business of our clients, from traditional business to fast moving innovators running their entire business in the Cloud and everything in-between.

We are seeking a Senior Presales Consultant to work closely with our sales teams and enterprise customers to determine how we can best serve their unique needs through creating awareness of our products. 

Experience Needed:

  • Provide presales technical support throughout the sales cycle to drive opportunities to a successful conclusion.
  • Ability to interpret complex customer needs and develop innovative solutions delivering both business & technical value
  • Ability to simplify the communication of both technical and business content to a varied audience (technical and non-technical customers).
  • Ability to navigate and focus on large and sometimes complex sales opportunities with multiple technologies.
  • Actively participates in sales calls as the solution expert ensuring alignment between the capabilities and value of the solution and the needs of the customer.
  • Responsible for explaining and researching the technical capabilities of BMC's Digital Business Automation products vs. our competition.
  • Creates and delivers technical presentations/demonstrations for BMC’s Digital Business Automation solutions based on the discovered solution requirements.
  • Builds deliverables for use by Sales and other Solution Engineers during the sales cycle.
  • Represent BMC at industry tradeshows and events
  • Researches, composes and delivers responses to RFPs. Interacts with clients to clarify requirements.
  • Creates and posts online industry specific content (Whitepapers, Blogs, etc..)
  • Installs solutions and executes ‘proof of concept’ exercises aligned to specific agreed upon business requirements.

What We Seek:

  • Successful track record in the presales discipline within enterprise software domain.
  • Technical experience in enterprise software is required (Ideally related to comparable BMC products)
  • Ability to communicate technical and business information to a varied audience (technical and non-technical customers).
  • Expertise in the technology and business use of one or more Workload Automation solutions (not necessarily Control-M) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with varied IT platforms (including mainframe) would be preferred.
  • Experience in working with Sales to build a business case.
  • Ability to develop a broad awareness of the client's technical architecture and emerging technologies with enough knowledge to determine what is and is not possible.
  • Ability to build empathy with stakeholders at all levels within a customer.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
