Intelligent Z Optimization and Transformation (IZOT)

Highly successful and geographically dispersed Solutions Engineering team seeks a Solution Engineer to work closely with our sales team and enterprise customers to determine how we can best serve their unique needs through creating awareness of our solutions.  This is a highly visible role working with some of our most successful sales teams, supporting prestigious enterprise clients and new logo accounts. 

IZOT is a combination of mainframe solutions covering development, data management, operations, storage, and security. Our goal is to help deliver services faster, accelerate time-to-market, and lower cost and risk across your customer's organizations.  Our role is to help customers understand the value and the approach to making change on the mainframe their competitive advantage.
What does the position entail?

Provide technical assistance throughout a world-class sales cycle to drive opportunities.
Actively participates in sales calls to help manage technical requirements and simplify the needs and actions
Identifies and develops innovative solutions to meet customer requirements
Delivers and customizes technical presentations on BMC Solutions. 
Explains the value to customers, with associated use cases, required capabilities, and differentiation.
Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities with complex customer needs
Writes success criteria for a client’s solution validation. Configure the appropriate environment (OnPrem or SaaS) and manages the process to ensure success, communicating progress both to the customer and to the sales account management team.
Provides demonstrations and presentations for BMC Webinars and Tradeshows/Marketing Events.
Reviews RFP requirements from customers with sales and clients to establish the right solution and be consultative on whether to bid.

What We Seek:

Ability to communicate technical and business information to a varied audience (technical and non-technical customers).
Technically savvy and some understanding of BMC Compuware solutions 
Experience working on any of our competitors’ products in this space is highly advantageous
Awareness and possible experience in mainframe, source code management, devops, software development lifecycles, testing, performance 
Understanding of leading cloud provider technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is highly advantageous
You have a value based consultative approach, in which you can adopt and articulate the value of our solution to address the customer’s challenges. 
Ability to develop a broad awareness of the client's technical architecture and emerging technologies with enough knowledge to determine what is and is not possible.
Analyse customer needs through research and troubleshooting followed with recommending a solution. 
Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills.
Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
Substantial experience working in an enterprise-type software consulting, implementation, support or training experience a major plus.
