BMC is looking for a Sr Project Manager for PMO office. This role combines elements of Technical Program Management and Agile Leadership, acting as a servant leader for R&D delivery while driving cross-functional execution and release predictability. 

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success: 
The R&D Sr Project Manager is an active participant in release and delivery of DSOM Product portfolio as part of DSOM PMO office. Successful candidates have an excellent background in program and project management, agile methodologies, matrix leadership, accountability and responsibility. 

Responsibilities include:
  • Facilitate agile delivery across multiple concurrent, high-visibility projects
  • Enable decision-making, conflict resolution, and alignment without direct authority
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and process improvement opportunities
  • Act as a servant leader by removing impediments and coaching teams toward higher agile maturity
  • Lead the cultivation of good working relationships and information flow with groups internal and external to the project teams, such as Product Management, Sales, Support and BMC customers
  • Ownership and monitoring of the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience: 
  • 8+ years of expertise managing all phases of software implementation project lifecycle with background in software development and/or quality assurance, which gives strong technical depth. 
  • Experience managing technical programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
  • Driving alignment on product features, business metrics, and business strategies.
  • Strong technical acumen, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, problem-solver, self-starter requiring minimal oversight, with flexibility and ownership
  • Solid proficiency in program and project management methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work with global and culturally diverse departments and groups.
  • Professional, high energy, strong technical aptitude, diplomatic, decisive, strong negotiator, independent, flexible, detail-oriented, and agent of change
  • Experience Jira, xwiki, MS Office
Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills: 
  • Experience working with distributed and remote engineering teams
  • Release management and go-to-market coordination experience
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
  • Awareness on AI tools and technologies
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics to drive delivery improvements
  • PMP/PgMP certification

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 3,380,000 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
