Description and Requirements

The Senior Project Manager plays an important role to ensure the successful execution, delivery and management of a project. The Senior Project Manager will work with clients to define and execute plans throughout the different phases of a project. Communication and setting clear expectations are key factors in maintaining successful relationship with client. The Senior Project Manager needs to have a competent understanding to project / resource planning, forecasting and managing projects with varying scope, expectations and deliverables.

Requirements:


  • More than 6 years of experience as a Project Manager and must have had responsibility for numerous successful projects (delivered on time, meeting client requirements with high customer satisfaction), including some complex projects, and projects involving a number of project staff and clients
  • Lead planning and/or managing of projects. May participate in the design and/or testing phases.
  • Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project or area progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary.
  • Responsibility for assembling the project teams and to identify the appropriate team resources relevant to the project
  • Work with teams and subject matter experts to ensure that client requests are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Sets and meets realistic deadlines. Forecasts changes and communicates current and projected issues.
  • Manage project financials and revenue forecasting
  • Ensures that project status, issues and successes are communicated to project team, stakeholders, sponsors, steering committee and all levels of management are documented appropriately.
  • Understands key project stakeholders and what are the stakeholder's need; provides realistic expectations; establishes specific customer satisfaction standards and actively monitors client satisfaction.
  • Manage projects throughout the entire project lifecycle: bid reviews, scoping, data collection, analysis, solutions/controls and documentation.
  • Establish clear requirements for each phases of the project.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong and tested project management skills, including sponsor and risk management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Familiarity with BMC Product suite a plus
