As Product Owner, you will be focused on defining product backlog for BMC’s Migration toolset. You will build the product backlog from professional services requirements and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with professional services and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time with people to understand their problems and find innovative solutions for real world use cases. You must be able break topics into smaller pieces and be able to prioritize them correctly.

You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company, including product management, engineering, professional services, and sales. You will also serve as an evangelist for your product, working with key customers.

Job Responsibilities:

· Managing product backlog and specifying requirements as user stories details & acceptance criteria

· Work closely with product management on the plan and take it to the next level of details

· Working closely with R&D on grooming backlog items

· Participate in release planning while taking ownership on items planned for the release

· Be an active scrum team member responsible for having stories ready for the team to implement before each sprint

· Be a team member of the product management team

Serve as the voice of the customer in product design and development discussions
Follow our competitors and the industry
Own the product roadmap and ensure it aligns with the strategic goals

Qualifications:

· Knowledgeable & experienced in technology and specifically in Mainframe

· Computer Science or Engineering degree or work experiences a strong plus

· Strong understanding and work experience in scrum framework a strong plus

· Team player with strong communication skills

Desired:

· Knowledgeable & experienced in software development

· Knowledgeable & experience in enterprise system management

· Certified/experienced Scrum Product Owner

· Experience with mainframe systems automation

· Solid understanding of the role mainframes play in today's enterprise customer facing applications.
