Product Description:  

The FDR family of products spans Storage Backup and Recovery, Storage Migration, and Storage Performance. 
These products are used to: Provide full volume and dataset backup and restore reports on storage-related information available in z/OS Batch reports, TSO/ISPF displays, and on GUI.

Primary Roles and Responsibility:  

Your role would be involved in estimating the size and scope of development and testing efforts of projects. 
You should be able to manage a mixed workload of multiple ongoing tasks including new function testing and product maintenance. 
You should be maintaining knowledge of production environments and applicable software technologies 
You will be working closely with the architects/developers, Quality Assurance Reps, technical publications, and other team members to design, develop, test, troubleshoot/debug features and functions of the product area. 
You will conduct design, code, and test plan reviews  
  • 10+ years of experience designing, testing, and implementing mainframe applications and system exits in an IBM z/OS environment.
  • Experience in designing and implementing mainframe systems software.  
  • Knowledge of z/OS Internals and Control blocks.  
Required Skills:  
  • Strong experience with IBM Assembler 
  • Strong skills related to Diagnostics, Debugging, and Troubleshooting.   
  • Experience in Quality Assurance principles, including test planning, test case creation & execution, test results documentation & defect reporting.  
Desired (NICE-TO-HAVE) Skills:
  • Knowledge of storage management/administration (DFSMS/HSM, tape systems, DASD) a plus 
  • Experience with IPCS is a plus.
  • Knowledge of storage hardware (controllers etc) a plus 
  • Experience with Unix System Services (USS) a plus 
  • Experience working under Agile methodology a plus
