Position Description:

The BMC Senior Solutions Engineer for Workload Orchestration provides consultancy to accounts that require technical and product knowledge in the market. 
Primary responsibilities for role:
  • Develop a significant balance of breadth and depth across BMC Workload Orchestration. 
  • Analyze product capabilities and limitations in the area of expertise vs. competition.
  • Develop knowledge of the areas of expertise. Including reference documents, training, mentoring, and assistance at customer sites where the product is being used or evaluated.
  • Participate as an integral part of the sales cycles, including presentations, architecture discussions, and innovative technologies.
  • Influence the product line's technical direction from a corporate standpoint. 
  • Increase the utilization and sales of BMC Workload Orchestration across multiple accounts.
  • Guide BMC Customers, Sales, Software Consulting, and Professional Services.
  • Assess analysis of client environment and design appropriate BMC solutions to enhance client usage.
  • Participate in marketing events, Customer Briefings, Seminars, User Groups, and Trade Shows. 

Products and Services/Client Responsibilities:
  • Design future state solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Workload Orchestration.
  • Quantify and communicate the value of BMC's proposed Workload Orchestration solutions.
  • Demonstrate understanding of current technology and forecast future technologies.
  • Advise technical and sales management on BMC Workload Orchestration offerings and strategy in existing accounts. 
  • Act as Customers advocate and trusted adviser.

Position Requirements:
  • Pre-sales experience preferred.
  • The role requires strong presentation skills for products and technologies.
  • Technical knowledge of Cloud Technologies, Containerization, Dev/Ops tools, software, hardware, and peripherals.
  • Requires programming language skills (Python, JSON, Rest.)
  • Must have Enterprise Systems skill sets.
  • ZOS Enterprise Systems skill sets considered an asset
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work independently and maintain accountability to management. 
  • Understanding of Data Pipelines, Data Movement  
  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of available work time
  • Application Development life cycle
  • Determining design methodologies
  • Programming using languages and software products
  • Agile Development experience
  • Control-M experience and/or Competitor equivalent  
  • Energetic and positive attitude 
  • Ideal candidate will live in in the US
