Join us as a Sr Manager, GTM Strategy & Operations!

As the Sr. Manager, Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy & Operations, you will help BMC unlock our next phase of growth across product lines, customer segments, and global markets. In this highly strategic role, you’ll drive GTM strategic planning across the customer lifecycle, from acquisition to retention, ensuring key functions remain fully aligned.

You’ll work cross-functionally with senior leaders in Sales (CRO), Marketing, Customer Success, and the Product and Finance teams to define the GTM vision, strategy and execution elements. You will also play a key part in preparing materials for board meetings and driving the company’s operating cadence, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into execution and that KPI’s are rigorously tracked.

The ideal candidate will bring strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of high-velocity SaaS business models.

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success: 
  • Set the GTM Vision: Facilitate the development of BMC’s integrated GTM strategy in partnership with Sales, GTM Operations, Marketing, and Customer Success leadership.
  • Drive Strategic Planning: Support the annual strategic planning processes with Product and Finance, aligning GTM motions and product strategy to corporate objectives and customer needs.
  • Operationalize the Business: Plan and help execute the GTM operational cadence—including QBRs, annual business reviews, and other key executive touchpoints.
  • Support Executive & Board Engagement: Lead preparation of GTM content for board meetings, exec offsites, and company-wide strategic updates—ensuring alignment, clarity, and impact.
  • Enable High-Impact Execution: Translate strategic initiatives into executional roadmaps that deliver measurable impact across pipeline, revenue, and customer outcomes.
  • Monitor and Optimize Performance: Define KPIs, analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, perform root cause analyses and develop action plans for remediation.
  • Inform Investment Decisions: Partner with Finance to build business cases for new GTM initiatives, segment expansion, territory design, and headcount planning.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Workstreams: Drive alignment and execution across GTM programs including the annual Sales Kick-Off, customer migrations, and new sales plays or pilots.
To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
  • You hold a Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline, with 5+ years of experience in GTM strategy, management consulting, revenue operations, or a similar role in enterprise software, as well as a background in consulting.
  • You have experience owning GTM or business operating cadences at scale—quarterly reviews, planning processes, and board-level reporting.
  • You have proven success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with executive visibility and measurable impact.
  • You have an analytical mindset with fluency in data—comfortable diving into metrics to extract insights and tell compelling stories.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage multiple, complex, competing priorities.
  • Exceptional communication skills—clear, concise, and effective with stakeholders across all levels, with emphasis on executive and board-level audiences.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus.

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.

At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $148,800 - $248,000
