This team is a responsible for BMC’s enterprise IT Service Management application, a leader in its domain. Many large enterprise use this product for their IT services. 

Role: Sr Manager- Product Development

What You Will Be Doing

Manage and lead design, development, and maintenance projects, to meet their Scope, Quality, Time, and Budget. Responsible for Team and People management

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • You will lead and drive team to resolve technical challenges to improve product capabilities.
  • You will work with product management team to identify, develop, validate product capabilities. Lead team to have ownership from design to resolve customer issues in true scrum model.
  • You will be responsible to attracts, develops, and retains talent to build and maintain strong, effective, and competent teams and build their knowledge. Manages day to day employee relations.
  • You will be responsible to keep effective upward and downward communication
  • You will promote innovation and continuous improvement. Looks out for opportunities to add value to product.
Qualification and requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science/IT/Computing or equivalent
  • 12+ years of experience in SW Engineering role
  • Significant proficiency/in-depth knowledge in the domain (technology and/or products)
  • 4-5 years of experience in leading engineers through project lifecycle using agile methodology
  • Thorough understanding of software development and/or support methodologies, principles and procedures and related software management tools
  • Experience in DevOps tools and technologies like Docker, K8s, pipeline, Jenkins
  • Strong technical awareness with Java, REST API, Angular
  • Experience in workflow based application development
  • Should be self-driven and ready to challenge status-quo

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 5,408,900 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
