Description and Requirements

We are looking for a creative, self-motivated, well-connected communications professional to develop and drive both external and internal communications for our EMEA region, with emphasis on BMC’s business in the UK, Germany, and France. You will represent and be an advocate for the communications function in region with the ability to connect the dots and drive integrated communication efforts that span across multiple teams within BMC. You will be an active and supporting member of the regional field marketing teams, while also helping us customize our communications to our employees in region. 

The right candidate possesses extensive media and analyst contacts, is an expert at translating complex technology concepts into approachable stories, commands solid understanding of emerging technologies (including Cloud, AI, ML, Cybersecurity), and can exercise high judgment while acting quickly. Additionally, the ability to create content that’s both engaging and informative is a must. You are a strong collaborator and accustomed to working with a globally dispersed team to deliver aligned programs and messaging that supports BMC’s overall vision.

This role reports directly to our Sr. Director of Corporate Communications and is an opportunity to partner across the organization to build BMC’s brand presence and credibility in the EMEA region. Ultimately, you will have an opportunity to shape how we develop global communications at BMC, in an environment that values an innovative mindset, fresh ideas, and hard work.

Responsibilities:
  • Work globally and cross-functionally to plan integrated global communication campaigns.
  • Define, develop, and manage end-to-end execution of PR strategy and programs in-region to drive awareness for the BMC product portfolio (launches, events, media engagement, and creative rolling thunder campaigns).
  • Manage local PR agencies in support of global programs and regional activities.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key journalists, analysts, bloggers, and influencers in traditional and digital outlets. 
  • Spearhead internal communications programming in partnership with global employee communications and other teams to support in-region needs. 
  • Support communications needs for regional marketing and sales programs.
  • Write copy for all initiatives, including marketing, internal communications, PR, and social media.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of communications experience
  • Business-to-business technology PR experience required
  • Current experience managing media relationships, and a network of media contacts
  • Experience delivering press tours, events, and media and analyst interviews
  • Background in customizing content for stakeholders and employees
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
