What We Seek:

BMC Software is seeking an experienced, SaaS product leader to serve as Senior Director of Product Management to advance BMC’s Helix SaaS platform. 


Responsibilities:

  • Manage team of product managers to drive platform capabilities and SaaS operational improvements to the Helix portfolio of solutions.
  • Collaborate with product management peers to align SaaS experience and platform capabilities with product roadmaps.
  • Lead SaaS platform roadmap that advances no-code capabilities for BMC Helix customers and partners.
  • Help lead SaaS first transformation in partnership with development to a world-class agile delivery model
  • Understand customer workflow, as it relates to the relevant products, at a very deep level to translate market requirements to Product Development and the value proposition to downstream functions (marketing, sales, operations).
  • Properly segment the market and creates specific solution strategies and tactics to address each segment's needs and requirements.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market assessment for establishing go-to-market strategies that capitalize on market trends, customer needs and competitive positioning. 
  • Maintain a multi-year product strategy and establish roadmaps for new partner solutions or product enhancements, including, developing new offerings, expanding on existing solutions, and leveraging existing products to build platform-based solutions. 
  • Communicates partner product status and roadmap evolution to senior and executive management.
  • Builds effective relationships with the sales, customers, partners, and internal departments. 
  • Ensure alignment of SaaS restrictions/limitations/contractual requirements with product managers across ITOM and ITSM products.
  • Liaise with Legal, Finance, Rev Rec, Operations and Support to ensure alignment on SaaS.
  • Lead a team to define and implement new platform capabilities across existing ITOM and ITSM product suites.
  • Provide regular customer updates on Service capabilities and roadmap.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10+ years software product management experience in enterprise/B2B software.
  • Recent experience as a Director / Senior Director of Product management.
  • A deep understanding of the application development lifecycle and related methodologies.
  • Experience driving platform capabilities into a no-code/low-code platform is very desirable.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales sales and professional services with go-to-market positioning, data, best practices and guides.
  • Passion for engaging with customers and understanding their problems.
  • Experience with complex sales processes, working with sales and presales staff.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing staff to ensure clear internal & external messaging.
  • Great communication skills (both written and verbal).
