BMC’s SaaS Ops team is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join us and design, develop, and implement complex applications, using the latest technologies. 

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

Network Design and Implementation:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance network infrastructure.
  • Develop and enforce network architecture standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee network upgrades, expansions, and migrations to new technologies.

Network Performance and Security:

  • Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and other security protocols.
  • Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.

Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Oversee the resolution of complex network issues and escalations.
  • Provide third-level support for network-related incidents and problems.
  • Ensure timely and effective troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

Project Management:

  • Plan and manage network projects from conception through implementation.
  • Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain project documentation and report on progress to senior management.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with network equipment vendors and service providers.
  • Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and solutions.
  • Oversee procurement and maintenance of network hardware and software.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Prepare and present reports on network performance, security, and project status.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience: 

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional(CCNP)/Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert(CCIE)certification required
  • Domain Name System (DNS) knowledge is mandate.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, architecture, and security.
  • Experience in configuring and managing BGP, Routing, IPsec Tunnels, VPC, VCN, subnets, TGW, DRG, security group, Fast connect, Direct Connect.
  • Experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting in large-scale environments.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices such as Cisco routers, switches, ASA/Firepower firewalls, and F5 load balancers.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing cloud technologies such as AWS, Oracle, and Google Cloud (GCP).
  • Experience in data capture and analyze using Wireshark, Tcpdump.
  • Proficiency in configuration and managing SSL certificates and Cipher security lists.
  • Experience in working with F5 LTM, GTM and iRules.
  • Extensive Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (Python, Ansible and Terraform).
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 3,380,000 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
