The BMC Digital Business Automation Consultant is responsible for implementing BMC solutions at customer sites and developing/evolving best practices for delivery of BMC Digital Business Automation Solutions.

The Consultant's primary responsibilities for the role are:
  • Responsible for leading and/or participating in small teams comprised of BMC, partner and customer resources at client sites to deliver required outcomes and produce additional business with BMC clients.
  • Understand how to apply technology to improve the operational effectiveness or efficiency of specific IT functions or applications.
  • Understand enterprise scale, integrated applications from a process/business perspective
  • Implement, customize, and configure BMC products as part of a defined BMC Route to Value.
  • Integrate BMC products to each other and third-party applications.
  • Improve the quality and efficiency of the solutions delivered to BMC clients as a means to improve BMC business margins.
  • Accountable to client for achieving specific outcomes by delivering services as directed by the project manager and technical lead.

Qualifications /Experience/Certifications:

Mainframe Skills:
  • Ability to perform SMP/e Product Installations
  • Subject Matter Expert Mainframe components and infrastructure
  • Subject Matter Expert of mainframe Products (like Control m / Zeke / CA7 / IBM etc)
  • Experience with installing and upgrading Control-M using SMP/e 
  • Understanding of Network communications
  • Subject Matter Expert setting up Control-M Security using ACF2/RACF/Top Secret rules
  • Knowledge of Midrange Systems
Product knowledge
  • Subject Matter Expert in Workload Automation Products (i.e., Control-M, CA7, CA ESP, IWS/z)
  • Subject Matter Expert Output Manager Products (i.e., Control-M Output Manager, CA View/Deliver, CA Dispatch)
  • Subject Matter Expert JCL Verify Products (i.e., Control-M JCL Verify, CA JCLCheck)
  • Subject Matter Expert in Tape products (i.e., CA1, TLMS, Control-M Tape) 

Qualifications/Experience/Certifications (Desirable)
  • ITIL v3 Foundation
  • Understanding of different software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
  • SaaS experience
  • Cloud Computing experience
  • Exposure to and involvement with multiple simultaneous projects and cross team dependencies.
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of BMC Workload Automation solutions
  • Control-M product certification
  • Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge of effective use of SharePoint, Salesforce and OpenAir
