Description and Requirements

We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual to join our Employee and Executive Communications team as the lead content strategist and creator for our company intranet. You will help elevate storytelling across the company’s internal communications channels and support global communications programming that advances business priorities.

As the Content Lead for employee communications, you will manage the strategy for, and development of, innovative, effective, and compelling content for internal channels to connect employees to our mission and values. Preferred candidates will have worked within the enterprise technology industry and have experience with leading digital content strategies. 

You will partner with the Employee and Executive Communications team to support internal communications for the company intranet across all business functions such as Marketing, HR, Sales, Customer Success, Product, Technology, Finance and more. 

We’re looking for someone who will serve as a trusted business partner and be a flexible, innovative team player. You’ll bring solid digital communications experience, a user experience mindset, strong writing and project management skills, a proactive attitude, a keen attention to detail, a passion for learning, and the ability to quickly establish rapport with stakeholders.

What you get to do every day:
•Lead strategy and be the primary contact for our intranet to ensure digital content is topical, relevant and drives messaging for business priorities and enhanced employee experience
•Proactively identify and develop digital content, working closely with the employee communications team, business leaders and subject matter experts, to promote and amplify initiatives that inform, educate and inspire target audiences
•Serve as a writer and editor for a variety of communications, such as news articles, employee spotlights and business announcements for use with internal audiences 
•Create captivating digital content including infographics to enhance visual appeal, while implementing best practices for improved user experience
•Advise stakeholders on proper channels and newsworthiness of content to meet their goals
•Interview employees and subject matter experts on a variety of topics to create interesting and informative news for diverse, global audiences
•Manage intranet content calendar for promotional activities for varied audiences
•Continuously monitor, measure and evaluate the effectiveness of our digital content strategy
•Partner with IT to enhance platform capabilities to improve the user experience 
•Be a continual learner of new marketing trends, innovative channels and best practices 
•Have an innovation mindset to continuously bring new ways of communicating
•Ensure that all BMC marketing and branding guidelines and procedures are followed

Required Background:
•Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field 
•Minimum of 7 years’ marketing, content or communications experience

Skills that will help you succeed:
•Experience in leading content strategy and communications programming to advance company reputation and corporate initiatives 
•Excellent grammar, proofreading, editing, and writing skills needed with knowledge of Associated Press style guidelines
•Web content management systems and/or Intranet platforms experience
•Graphic design experience using Adobe suite, with Illustrator and Photoshop preferred
•Exceptional oral communication and interpersonal skills 
•Exceptional web and user experience design and HTML knowledge is a plus
•Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece or series of content
•Expertise in program management to ensure that plans are socialized, adhered to, and measured against
•Excellent teamwork skills, as this is a highly collaborative position
•Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
•High level of ownership and committed to achieving measurable results
•Solid digital storytelling skills
•Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
