Description and Requirements

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Employee and Executive Communications team as an "Employee and Executive Communications Senior Manager" to support global communications programming that advances business priorities. 

As the Senior Communications Manager, you will work with our business leaders to develop and execute employee, executive and program communications and integrate messages with external communications activities. You will work with team members to support activities for the Chief Product Officer and his leadership team. Preferred candidates will have worked within the enterprise technology industry and have experience with leading comprehensive communications campaigns. 

This role will serve as a trusted business partner and requires a flexible, innovative team player with solid communications experience, strong writing and project management skills, a proactive attitude, a keen attention to detail, a passion for learning, and the ability to quickly establish rapport and trust with business leaders and program teams. The role requires strong multi-tasking and organizational skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders. 

This role will partner with the Director of Employee and Executive Communications on internal communications across functions, and have an opportunity to work on projects across the expanded Marketing Communications and Engagement team, which includes external communication, content marketing, customer engagement, and analyst relations.

Key responsibilities: 
  • Interpret business priorities into integrated communication plans for global audiences, creating a distinct leadership voice for the Chief Product Officer and his leadership team
  • Proactively identify and develop messages and content, working closely with C-suite executives, senior stakeholders and subject matter experts, to promote and amplify initiatives that inform, educate and inspire target audiences
  • Create engaging content in various mediums and manage delivery via our digital workplace platform and messaging tools to ensure communications are targeted for audiences
  • Ensure content is topical, relevant and drives messaging for business priorities
  • Draft messages, talking points or scripts for senior executives’ internal speaking engagements
  • Advise senior executives and program teams on effective communications techniques
  • Develop and maintain program communications calendars that align with business needs 
  • Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across mediums for different business units and with external communications messages 
  • Partner with the media relations team to develop compelling talking points for external activities, media engagements and publications 
  • Storyboard and translate ideas to the creative team of producers and designers to create captivating digital content including videos, infographics and imagery 
  • Be a continual learner of new marketing trends, innovative channels and best practices 
  • Have an innovation mindset to continuously bring new ways of communicating
  • Ensure that all BMC marketing and branding guidelines and procedures are followed
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field 
  • Minimum of 10 years’ marketing or communications experience
Professional skills:
  • Well-rounded corporate communications experience across a variety of functions, preferably supporting technology, product, sales or other customer-facing organizations
  • Experience in delivering integrated communications programming to address company reputation, corporate initiatives and executive voices
  • Exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with executive presence
  • Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece or series of content
  • Expertise in program management to ensure that plans are socialized, adhered to, and measured against
  • Excellent teamwork skills, as this is a highly collaborative position
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • High level of ownership and committed to achieving measurable results
  • Experience with web content management systems and web publishing
  • Solid presentation and storytelling skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
