Our IS&T (Information Services and Technology) department provides all the required technology and operational support services to run our business here in BMC! We have over 200 servers on premises to support production, disaster recovery, databases, applications and over 1000 servers in Lab environment. IS&T is transformational not only for BMC but also for the customer experience, because we give a 360 degrees view to the customer about the products they should know, opportunities in the pipeline, and any service issues outstanding with the customer. We use cutting-edge technologies to manage BMC's infrastructure and showcase it to the customers – program is called BMC on BMC!

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced AV Support Engineer with a strong background in Audio/Visual project management, operations, and event management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing large-scale AV events, supporting videoconferencing technologies, and providing hands-on technical support for AV equipment in virtual, hybrid, and live event environments. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the flawless operation of AV systems, enhancing client experiences through technology solutions, and contributing to successful event outcomes.

Work You’ll Do

Your primary responsibility will be to support AV operations during day-to-day end user support and events, videoconferencing solutions, and live streaming services, ensuring seamless delivery of virtual and hybrid meetings. You will assist clients in determining the best technological solutions for their events and meetings, focusing on high-quality performance and support for all AV equipment. You will also oversee large-scale event management tasks such as AV setup, operation, and breakdown.

Role & Responsibilities

Assist with all AV operations-related tasks, ensuring the highest quality standards are met for all issues and events.
Plan, coordinate, and execute live production events, including setup, operation, and breakdown of live streaming and AV equipment (both in-person and hybrid).
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address all technical and logistical aspects of events.
Ensure proper setup, testing, and functionality of all AV equipment, including microphones, LED displays, cameras, and streaming devices.
Monitor the health of AV equipment and video endpoints, ensuring optimal maintenance and performance.
Develop and implement best practices for AV operations and live event production, constantly seeking ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Coordinate with US counterparts to stay updated on ongoing processes and new changes, ensuring consistency and high standards are maintained across all events and clients.

Required Technical Skills Professional Skills

5+ years of experience in AV Support, Operations, and Project Management, with hands-on experience in live event production and workflows.
Proficient in videoconferencing products, including Poly Studio X30/50/70, G7500, Poly CVI Manager, and troubleshooting L1/L2 issues.
Experience with ticketing tools such as BMC Remedy is essential.
Certification or additional degrees in AV or related fields are a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interactions and team coordination.
Ability to handle confidential, classified, and unpublished information with discretion.
Strong multitasking abilities, including problem-solving, proposing solutions in writing, and collaborating with diverse teams to oversee events.
Attention to detail, ensuring high-quality event delivery and client satisfaction.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism while delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
