GSD (Global Services Delivery) is a global delivery organisation responsible for delivering BMC Helix solutions to our customers worldwide. It provides a unique opportunity to meet customers and solve their business problem by consultative approach. This group is responsible for managing the latest BMC technologies and making sure customers get the maximum value from their investment.    

AMS Consultant - The Application Managed Services Consultant will provide consultative operational services, including technical post-implementation/go-live services for enterprise software solutions for BMC’s worldwide customers. The Consultant must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment since they will be working on incidents, problems, releases, patching, upgrades, and integrations simultaneously.

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC Helix's and your own success:
  • Provide L2/L3 operational support on BMC Discovery as per agreed SLAs.
  • Responsible for leading and/or participating in small teams comprised of BMC, partner and customer resources at client sites to deliver required outcomes and produce additional business with BMC clients.
  • Maintain BMC Discovery platform availability as per the agreed availability commitment
  • Understands how to apply technology to improve the operational effectiveness or efficiency of specific functions or applications.
  • Customise and configure BMC Discovery capabilities in a complex Cluster Env.
  • Recommend & plan upgrades/patches and roll out of new features
  • Integrate BMC products to each other and third-party applications.
  • Improve the quality and efficiency of the solutions delivered to BMC clients as a means to improve BMC business margins.
  • Accountable to client for achieving specific outcomes by delivering services as directed by the project manager and technical lead.
  • Ability to transfer knowledge of the BMC approach to business service management.
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
  • Strong hands-on experience in BMC Discovery (ADDM) administration, configuration, integrations, and customizations.
  • Experience installing and maintaining Discovery in distributed/clustered environments.
  • Deep expertise in Discovery–CMDB integrations, application modeling, and TPL development.
  • Proficient in TPL scripting, Unix, Perl, SQL, and Discovery query/reporting APIs.
  • 6–9 years of relevant experience in BMC Helix ITSM/Remedy/CMDB.
  • Background in Managed Services / Consulting environments.
  • Solid understanding of cloud technologies, networking, and database fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills; able to work independently or in teams.
  • Customer-facing experience with ability to coordinate with vendors and internal groups.
  • Willing to work in shifts, weekends, and provide on‑call support.
  • Engineering/Computer Science bachelor’s degree required.
