As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting our commitment to compliance and operational excellence. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a talented global team, contribute to strategic financial decisions, and drive the modernization of our financial processes.


How You Will Contribute to BMC's and Your Own Success:
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee general ledger accounting functions, ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP, and review and reconcile accounts
  • Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead closing processes, prepare and post journal entries for ASC 840/Ind AS 116, capital leases, and reclassifications, and perform P&L and balance sheet reconciliations with variance analyses
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensure compliance with US GAAP and Ind AS, support management reporting, and maintain Ind GAAP entries in the designated system
  • Direct and Indirect Taxation: Calculate taxable income for advance tax and month-end activities, prepare quarterly corporate tax packages with journal entries for current and deferred tax, and collaborate with tax consultants on returns and notices
  • Internal Controls and Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting regulations, support SOX compliance preparation, and facilitate internal and external audits
  • Process Improvement: Identify enhancement opportunities, implement accounting best practices, and collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes
  • Team Leadership and Development: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and support professional development initiatives
  • Special Projects and Ad-Hoc Analysis: Contribute to management-assigned projects and conduct financial analyses to support strategic business decisions 

To Ensure You're Set Up for Success, You Will Bring the Following Skillset:

  • Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with 6 to 8 years of professional experience
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role, with strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle) and MS Office, particularly advanced Excel
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities; strong attention to detail and accuracy; effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 1,725,800 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
