Title: Sr. Accountant
Location: Pune – India
 
BU/Product Description & Job Overview
As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be reporting into the Accounting Manager, responsible for assisting with the efficient running of the GL function.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
  • Inter-company transactions and reconciliations including foreign currency accounting
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies
  • Balance sheet accounts reconciliations
  • Perform monthly bank and cash reconciliations.
  • Accruals & Prepayments and reviewing any variances
  • Oracle R12 good working knowledge
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and the ability to clearly document and suggest accounting treatments and reporting issues to finance and non-finance personnel.
Qualification:
Required Skills:

  • Mcom/MBA Finance degree in Accounting. CA is a plus.
  • Strong technical accounting background.
  • At least five years general ledger accounting experience is required
  • Strong Excel and database skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Team player and have ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization
  • Oracle R12 GL application experience preferred.
 Desired (Good to have skills):
  • Good Knowledge of Oracle R12, Advanced excel and Microstrategy Query/Report building
