BMC Software Value and Solution Engineering (VSE) professionals are highly consultative, technical and business experts that deliver the clear vision and strategies required to help customers achieve their de-sired business outcomes and value. The VSE team partners closely with Sales and customers to capture requirements and articulate how BMC’s unique and differentiated capabilities can best serve customer needs. This is a highly visible team working with our most successful sales teams to support the most pres-tigious companies around the world.
Join us as a Solution Engineer on our Digital Service Operations Management Presales team! As a Solution Engineer in the CoE, you will be at the forefront of driving technical excellence, customer engagement, and innovation across ITOM and ITSM domains. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful demos, solution architectures, and enablement strategies that support digital transformation initiatives.

Here is how, through this exciting role, you will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
  • Design and deliver compelling technical demos and presentations tailored to customer use cases.
  • Design and conduct POC / POV across ITOM, ITSM, and workflow orchestration platforms.
  • Collaborate with sales and product teams to support pre-sales activities, PoCs, and GTM plays.
  • Leverage GenAI/AI frameworks to enhance solution capabilities and storytelling.
  • Support enablement initiatives including micro-certifications, demo catalogues, and competitive analysis.
  • Participate in bootcamps, low-code academies, and LLM-based demo development
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset and experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in a Cloud/ITSM Consulting
  • Strong understanding of ITOM and ITSM principles and tools.
  • Hands-on experience with any cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Shell, Bash).
  • Exposure to GenAI/LLM technologies (e.g., GPT-4, LangChain, Azure OpenAI).
  • Excellent communication and demo delivery skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, customer-facing environments

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills: 
  • Experience with ServiceNow, BMC Helix, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with solution architecture, technical documentation, and sales enablement.
  • Prior involvement in bootcamp enablement, demo engineering, or competitive benchmarking.

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 2,790,000 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
