Highly successful and geographically disperse Presales team, seeks a Solution Engineer to work closely with our sales team and enterprise customers to determine how we can best serve their unique needs through creating awareness of our products. This is a highly visible role working with some of our most successful sales teams, supporting prestigious enterprise clients and new logo accounts.
Experience Needed and Experience Offered:
· You will provide technical support throughout the sales cycle to drive opportunities.
· Deliver and customizes technical presentations on BMC products.
· Builds new presentations for use by sales and other software consultants.
· Explains product capabilities, limitations and implementation. Can describe technical trade-offs and implementation alternatives.
· Actively participates in sales calls involving complex technical requirements or multiple hardware platforms.
· Identifies and develops innovative solutions to customer requirements.
· You will focus on large or complex sales opportunities requiring complex solutions.
· Writes trial plans for prospective clients. Provide technical support to these clients. Monitors progress of the client in using the product. Keeps the account team informed of the trial status.
· Identifies and resolves technical and business problems with the trial. Makes recommendations to terminate trials when necessary.
· Provide demonstrations and presentations for BMC Seminars and Tradeshows. Performs necessary equipment set-up and installation.
· Research, composes and delivers responses to RFPs. Interacts with clients to clarify requirements.
· Review RFP responses for technical accuracy.
· Install solutions at client sites as part of proof of concept or pilot.
What We Seek:
· Ability to communicate technical and business information to a varied audience (technical and non-technical customers).
· Technically savvy and bias towards ITSM/Service Support/ITIL
· Experience working on our flagship ITSM portfolio:- BMC Remedy, Remedy OnDemand, BMC Discovery (ADDM) or any of our competitors’ products is highly advantageous
· You should have exp on BMC solutions.
· You have a value based consultative approach, in which you can adopt and articulate the value of our solution to address the customer’s challenges.
· Ability to develop a broad awareness of the client's technical architecture and emerging technologies with enough knowledge to determine what is and is not possible.
· Analyze customer needs through research and troubleshooting followed with recommending a solution.
· Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills.
· Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
· Substantial experience working in an enterprise-type software consulting, implementation, support or training experience a major plus.
