Business Unit

The Value and Solution Engineering group (VSE) partners with the Sales organization to deliver impactful customer experiences by combining in-depth knowledge of BMC solutions and the broader enterprise technology landscape with a deep understanding of the customer’s business. By leveraging their market and technical expertise, value-based selling techniques, and Engagement Excellence deliverables, VSE helps the customers discover and realize the value that BMC provides to their organizations.

Within the Value and Solution Engineering group, the Senior Value Engineer focuses on high touch strategic and transformational sales opportunities, communicating our strategy, vision and how we create real business value for our customers by aligning BMC capabilities to customer business objectives.

This is a high visibility, high impact role working with our most successful sales teams, our most prestigious clients and with our world-class Value and Solution Engineering team in Asia-Pacific.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

·         Work with sales team on critical business issues faced by customers and articulate the BMC value proposition from a business value point of view

·         Conduct technology and industry research that drives insightful and compelling customer messaging, aligning BMC capabilities to customer business objectives and outcomes

·         Build financial models that map BMC capabilities to customer business value, legitimizing BMC’s role in our customers’ digital transformation that motivates a case for change

·         Establish credibility quickly with executive customer stakeholders to help grow and accelerate sales opportunities

·         Coach sales teams on critical business issues faced by customers and how BMC can address them

·         Turn presentations into constructive dialogue that moves the group to conclusions

·         Invest time in documenting best practices, capturing and disseminating knowledge for continuous innovation and improving customer engagement and success

·         Develop a broad awareness of the client's technical architecture and emerging technologies with enough knowledge to determine what is and is not possible

·         Participate in regional, and global initiatives that drive innovation, growth, and customer success

·         A BMC brand ambassador both internally and externally

Work Experience

Must have:

·         5 - 7 years of Business Value Engineering, Strategic Consulting, Presales, Customer Success [or equivalent] customer-facing experience in a global IT or enterprise software organization

·         Prior experience in strategic sales or digital transformation consulting environments

·         Experience in financial modelling and analysis and/or Value Management practices

·         In-depth understanding of how sales and presales organizations in technology companies work

·         Outstanding presentation and communication skills (both written & verbal)

·         Unquestionable integrity and professionalism and a strong business acumen

Good to have:

·         Formal sales training (MEDDIC, Miller-Heiman, Sandler, Solution Selling etc.)

·         Scaled Agile Framework and AWS Cloud Practitioner [or above] certification [or equivalent]

·         Enterprise architecture experience and/or certification

·         Project Management skills.

·         Singapore Govt Clearance will be added advantage.
