Position Summary:

The Sales Order Specialist (SOS) will work as part of the Order Services team to support the Sales organization in preparing and validating license & support deals for submission to Order Service Coordinators.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to sales on quote
  • Provide Legal Level 1 support and generate contractual agreements for all license lines of business.
  • Order Processing – Generate, Review, and validate all orders with focus on accuracy and completion for submission.
  • Proactively engage with sales teams to ensure orders are compliant
  • Ensure all approvals are in place prior to paperwork being released to sales.
  • Ensure all orders are submitted on a timely basis according to established order submission deadlines
  • Develop & maintain a detailed working knowledge of the Quote to Invoice process.
  • Provide support and assist in the resolution & clarification of order information, invoicing, collections and passwords
  • Expected to be the point of contact and trusted advisor.  

Capabilities & Competencies for Success

  • Working knowledge of Oracle, SFDC and MS Office Suite. 
  •  Must possess strong attention to detail, accuracy and completeness with regard to all processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to manage the order process with sales with respect to communication, expectations, validation and completion of order packets.
  • Must have the ability to work remotely and use escalation process when required.
  • Excellent written and communication skills required. 
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues, using sound judgement in a timely manner.
