Description and Requirements

The BMC Project Manager performs a lead role in managing the implementation and or conversion projects for the BMC software solutions.  The Project Manager is responsible for orchestrating the successful delivery of Services engagements.  Project Manager’s are expected to drive projects to successful completion (on-time, on budget, with high Customer satisfaction) while maintaining billable efforts and protecting project profitability.

Key Accountabilities

Strategy / Project Management:
  • Team leadership - direct and indirect - over large scale technical engagements (4-10 team members, over $500K USD, over 6 months duration, more than 1 product suite). 
  • Establish and lead recurring governance meetings including preparation of materials and working with Customer Project Manager and key internal and external stakeholders to review key project information.
  • Deliver against the expected internal cadence.
  • Delivery within Time, Scope and Budget.
Qualifications/Experience/Certifications: 
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other formal training in Project Management methodology (PRINCE 2 Practitioner).
  • ITIL Foundation.
Critical Experiences:
  • Fluent French and English.
  • Experience with ITSM Software (Helix ITSM / Remedy BMC knowledge preferred).
  • Experience managing all phases of software Implementation project lifecycle.
  • Proven team leadership - direct and indirect - over large scale technical engagements (4-10 team members, over $500K USD, over 6 months duration, more than 1 product suite)
  • International Experience, managing people from different countries and with various cultural backgrounds.
  • Experience managing recovery projects (in flight projects in trouble - taking over from another project team) and turning them around to a successful conclusion.
  • Experience solving problems.
  • Understanding of different software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.).
  • Must be familiar with other IT management and have a working knowledge of IT operations and management.
  • Able to demonstrate experience in IT Service Management and Cloud Computing Domains.
At least 4 years’ experience (involving the following experiences):
  • Exposure to managing multiple simultaneous projects and cross team dependencies.
  • Managed enterprise level projects for large, complex customers.
  • Managed projects delivering multiple integrated solution sets.
  • Communicating experience at all levels Project manager through to Corporate level.
