The Value & Solution Engineering (VSE) Demo COE centralizes the creation, distribution and support of standardized, cataloged, value-based, customer-facing PreSales collateral, including tens of thousands of annual live solution demonstrations. Centralization leads to increasing team expertise and scalability, and the identification of best practices for use by the entire Sales organization. Consumers of our content and services include internal BMC employees, partners and external customers.

We are seeking best-in-industry professionals to complete our team of technical consultants and software engineers, content designers, and virtualization platform engineers. Our ideal candidate for this specific role will have significant technical BMC solution experience. The new team member would be responsible for creating and supporting large, integrated demonstration environments.

Primary Responsibilities

· Design, develop, catalogue, publish, promote and support new, inspiring and differentiated BMC Solution demos that can be used to excite our audiences and demonstrate BMC’s expertise in various domains. Accurately position solutions and their data to support BMC’s capabilities and value in a way that best suits the audience and market conditions.

· Manage a database of Product, Feature, Benefit, Use Case and Persona information for standardization across BMC. Update data as needed, ensuring all content remains consistent between technical environments and documentation.

· Assist VSE Solution Engineers in customizing and supporting demonstration environments for specific customers, personas and verticals.

· Capture demo data requirements for each solution release and ensure accurate replication onto new demo deployments by working closely with the SaaS DevOps team.

· Gather bug information and best practice requirements, and work with demo developers to include in later demo releases.

· Must be able to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve complex, cross-solution integration issues.

· Monitor support queue on demo issues, provide quick L1 support, and escalate to BMC Customer Support as needed.

Secondary Responsibilities

· Provide limited administrative support for a VMware-based BMC Demo Cloud (BDC)

· Provide limited administrative support for a SaaS, containerized demo deployment system

· Only as needed, support other team members in their creation of highly designed demo videos, animations and documents to be delivered with BMC Software solution demonstrations.

Qualifications:

· Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of technical, consultant experience in BMC solutions.

· Desired BMC solution experience includes any or all of the following: BMC Helix ITSM, BMC Helix Discovery, BMC Helix Digital Workplace, BMC Helix Business Workflows, BMC Helix Operations Management, TrueSight Capacity Optimization and TrueSight Operations Management.

· Ideal candidate will have some knowledge of solution sales and PreSales.

· Has engaged with or has supported PreSales customer opportunities

· Excellent English communication skills and ability to communicate to leadership.

· Understanding of DevOps development and release processes.

· Knowledge of VMware and automation for secondary role in demo platform support.

· Comfortable working across multiple teams and cultures

· A flexible attitude and an ability to take basic objectives, and drive projects with regular communication, producing excellent work with minimal guidance

· Willing to meet at early or late hours as needed to interface with global teammates and customers.

This role requires primarily technical BMC product skills. Secondarily, good communication and marketing understanding is a plus. It’s critical that as you design and build demos, you understand what drives buyers to make investments in technology and the role of content in influencing buying decisions. You should have a sense of the forces shaping the future evolution of this discipline.

It’s also vitally important that you can communicate these concepts with ease and confidence, both in writing and in person. You will have at least a basic understand of how sales and PreSales organizations in technology companies work and how best to use your technical BMC product skills with the various teams to product impactful content.
