BU Description:
BMC Software is looking for a motivated and skilled individual to join the Product Security Group. This is a senior technical position in the team. The candidate will be responsible for engaging with various product teams on third-party software security, SaaS security, penetration testing and container security.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- You will provide subject matter expertise for application security with focus areas such as third-party software composition analysis and container security
- You will monitor the central security scanning infrastructure and troubleshoot issues
- You will write scripts, maintain dashboards for various security activities
- You will be responsible for maintaining automation and managing product security lifecycle (DevSecOps pipelines)
Other responsibilities will include:
- Answering queries from product teams around automation, defects etc.
- Managing access control to tools
- Supporting necessary application security practices such as secure coding and training
- Contributing to central security scanning automation code.
Qualification\Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in product security and/or product development (combination of web, mobile, API, cloud, infrastructure and container security) or equivalent skillset.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in writing scripts in Powershell, bash etc.
- Knowledge of building Enterprise applications in Java (preferred)
- Knowledge of Jenkins and DevOps
- Experience with building dashboards using Kibana, Grafana and other technologies
- Prior experience with APIs to build integrations between services
- Experience with secure code review (SAST) tools for C/C++, Java, and Python languages and relevant frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with other teams
- Timeliness and attention to detail
