Our highly successful and geographically disperse Value & Solution Engineering team, seek an experienced Solution Engineer with a background in Telecommunications to work closely with a specialist sales team and our Telecoms customers creating value based technical solutions addressing their biggest challenges.

This is a highly visible role where you are empowered to seek the best outcome for our customers working with talented teams from across the company, supporting prestigious enterprise clients and new logo accounts. 
While the solutions for our customers can span across the complete BMC portfolio, this role will focus primarily on our Helix Solutions, a combination of our flagship portfolios into a single cloud-native, micro-services-based AI/ML platform, which can deliver services faster, accelerate time-to-market, lower cost and reduce risk across our customer's organizations. This is both an exciting and fast-growing market where BMC’s Leadership is validated by the analysts, who continue to put BMC Helix solutions in the lead within their quadrants and competitive analysis. 

Experience Needed and Experience Offered: 
Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle to drive opportunities. 
Works closely with sales to uncover the key challenges BMC can resolve and the impact of these within our customers
Works closely with Helix R&D and Product Management teams to identify potential new innovative solutions 
Builds new Enterprise Telecoms engagement content for use by Marketing, Sales and the wider Software Engineering team. 
Explains both within BMC and to our customer about product capabilities, use cases, limitations and benefits in support of customer success
Identifies and develops innovative cost-effective SaaS and on-premise solutions aligned to customer requirements. 
Provides in-person and virtual industry aligned presentations and demonstrations at Executive Briefings, Workshops, Webinars and Tradeshows. 
Delivers customized customer persona-based Presentations, Demonstrations and Proofs of Value (PoVs) with specific focus on BMC’s DSOM products. 
Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities requiring customer centricity, technical expertise and goal orientation. 
Identifies and resolves technical and business problems within all stages of the sales process. 
Installs and configures all components of the solutions within a Proof of Value or Trial. 
Researches, composes and delivers responses to RFPs. Interacts with clients to clarify requirements. 
Reviews RFP responses for technical accuracy. 

What We Seek: 
5+ years of experience with proven success in Telecommunications complex solution sales, would be highly advantageous to have also worked for a Global Telecommunications company.
Ability to communicate technical and business information to a varied audience (technical and non-technical customers) within our existing and new Telecommunications customers 
Have proven understanding of any Telco domain, including Fixed Network, Transmission/Transport, SDWAN, IOT & IP technologies
Technically savvy and bias towards AIOPs and ITSM solutions
Experience working on one or more of the following BMC solutions:- Helix ITSM, Helix Discovery (ADDM), TrueSight Operations Management, Helix Optimize, TrueSight Automation, TrueSight Orchestration  or any of our competitors’ products is highly advantageous
You have a value based consultative approach, in which you can adopt and articulate the value of our solution to address the customer’s challenges. 
Ability to develop a broad awareness of the client's technical architecture and emerging technologies with enough knowledge to determine what is and is not possible. 
Analyse customer needs through research and troubleshooting followed with recommending a solution. 
Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills. 
Strong problem solving and analytical ability. 
Substantial experience working in an enterprise-type software consulting, implementation, support or training experience a major plus.
