Principal Product Manager - Agent Marketplace
At BMC Helix, we believe meaningful AI doesn’t start with the model, it starts with the data.
We’re on a mission to help enterprises transform into specialized AI at scale and reset the limits of IT. The AI landscape has gone through incredible changes from 2015. But one thing has remained constant: the data you use to build AI is the key to achieving differentiation, high performance, and production-ready systems. We work with some of the world’s largest organizations to empower IT, HR Managers, DevOps engineers, financial experts, product creators, and more to build custom AI with their data faster than ever before. Excited to help us redefine how AI is built?
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
- Own the end‑to‑end vision, strategy, and roadmap for the expert‑contributor product ecosystem, ensuring long‑term marketplace health, scalability, and value creation.
- Lead product strategy for a dynamic, multi‑sided marketplace, balancing supply and demand, improving operational efficiency, and driving high‑quality user outcomes.
- Build and optimize core marketplace features through structured experimentation, improving matching efficiency, fulfillment quality, conversion, retention, and unit economics.
- Develop a deep understanding of contributor and customer behaviors to refine pricing, incentives, quality frameworks, and engagement mechanisms.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, R&D, Support, and GTM teams to continuously improve marketplace dynamics and align product decisions with organizational goals.
- Define, monitor, and act on critical marketplace KPIs to guide prioritization, diagnose friction, and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
- Champion scalable systems, workflows, and product experiences that maintain reliability and quality as the marketplace grows in volume and complexity.
- Advocate for exceptional user experience across both sides of the marketplace, ensuring intuitive, trustworthy, and high‑performing product interactions.
- Influence senior stakeholders and cross‑functional leaders, driving alignment on strategy, trade‑offs, and execution across the broader product ecosystem.
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
- 10+ years of Product Management experience building and scaling enterprise SaaS products.
- Direct experience owning a B2B app store, agent marketplace, or extensibility platform, including contributor onboarding, partner integrations, governance, and ecosystem health.
- Deep understanding of enterprise software buyers, including procurement, security, compliance, data governance, and multi‑stakeholder workflows.
- Proven success building platform capabilities such as APIs, SDKs, integration frameworks, partner tooling, and developer experience.
- Experience driving supply‑side and demand‑side growth in a B2B context, including quality frameworks, incentives, ranking/matching systems, and contributor lifecycle management.
- Strong SaaS product design and UX sensibilities, especially for complex enterprise workflows and multi‑persona experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with enterprise customers, channel partners, and system integrators to shape roadmap and drive adoption.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams (engineering, data science, operations, GTM) and influence senior stakeholders across a large organization.
- Educational background in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years building or scaling enterprise marketplaces, extensibility platforms, or integration ecosystems, ideally with third‑party developers, partners, or AI agents.
- Experience with multi‑sided B2B marketplaces, including supply/demand balancing, contributor quality, pricing models, and marketplace economics.
- Strong analytical and experimentation background, including A/B testing, funnel optimization, ranking systems, and KPI‑driven prioritization.
- Experience partnering with data science and engineering to build scalable matching, recommendation, or agent‑selection systems.
- Deep intuition for enterprise user behavior, including incentives, trust, governance, and compliance considerations in a marketplace environment.
- Background in AI/ML‑driven products, agent frameworks, or workflow automation platforms.
