Our IS&T (Information Services and Technology) department provides all the required technology and operational support services to run our business here in BMC! We have over 200 servers on premises to support production, disaster recovery, databases, applications and over 1000 servers in Lab environment. IS&T is transformational not only for BMC but also for the customer experience, because we give a 360 degrees view to the customer about the products they should know, opportunities in the pipeline, and any service issues outstanding with the customer. We use cutting-edge technologies to manage BMC's infrastructure and showcase it to the customers – program is called BMC on BMC!

BMC is looking for a Principal Oracle Developer to join our amazing Oracle Practice team, responsible for development for and around Oracle EBS modules.

In this role, you will develop various applications to enhance our back-office systems and business applications, including procure-to-pay, hire-to-retire, career management, ADP payroll, customizations to support BMC processes, treasury, audit applications, custom order management, and more!

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

Develop custom applications and enhancements to support key back-office systems and business applications.
Design, develop, test, and deploy Oracle-based solutions using appropriate tools and technologies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices.
Customize and extend functionality within Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.3 to meet specific business requirements, including the development of new modules, interfaces, workflows, and reports.
Utilize Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Application Framework (OAF), XML Publisher, and Oracle Workflow to build and enhance applications within the Oracle E-Business Suite environment.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including business users, analysts, and project managers, to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of developed solutions.
Document technical specifications, design documents, and coding standards for reference and knowledge sharing within the team.
Lead and mentor a team of Oracle developers, providing technical expertise, guidance, and support in designing, developing, and implementing solutions.
Define and enforce coding standards, development methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistency, quality, and maintainability of Oracle applications and customizations.
Work with Zuora subscription solutions for order-to-invoice and revenue recognition, handling business rules and resolving revenue recognition issues.
Implement DevOps techniques in development, including Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

12-18 years of experience working in Oracle technology.
Worked as a senior/lead developer for 5 years.
Experience in working with subscription-based SaaS platforms (Zuora is preferred).
Strong knowledge in Oracle PL/SQL development.
Working experience in CPQ / SaaS-based order/quote management.
Good understanding of 606 revenue recognition rules.
Knowledge of sales tax tools and EB tax configurations for tax rates.
Experience with design and development of REST API.
Experience in XML Publisher, Oracle Workflow, and AME.
Strong knowledge of web services (WSDL, SOAP, Restful).
Technical expertise in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software.

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:

Python, Design Studio, AI/ML tools, Java-based development environment (IDE).
Knowledge/experience in Oracle Forms/Reports 10g.
Knowledge in Application Development based in the R12 framework.

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 4,166,900 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
