Team Overview

We are the BMC-Operations Analytics & Data Science team, a highly functional, growing, business & outcome-focused team that enables business groups within BMC to make better decisions centered around our Customers. Through our analysis, applications, and insights, we empower our users with insight, while supporting and leading strategic initiatives across our entire org.

The Role: 

You will lead a team and play a key role within our Analytics & Data Science team focused on:

  • Partnering with Sales & Marketing Leadership to deliver on priorities
  • Working across our larger team and functions (Customer Success, Product R&D, etc.) to ensure alignment across the customer journey analytics
  • Drive our Marketing funnel, Pipeline, Forecast, GTM effectiveness & Win/Loss insights
  • Deep dive into data to discover and create new key insights that inform Go-to-Market decisions
  • Deliver ROI, touch and impact analysis to measure our Customer’s experience
  • Build multi-touch attribution and marketing mix models that promote efficiency, effectiveness, and marketing (value) incrementality
  • Provide insights to identify and drive improvements in our GTM performance and sales productivity
  • Develop a positive relationship and continuous collaborative engagement with stakeholders and engagement
  • Manage and lead projects collaboratively with other Analytics, Operations, Business Finance and IT teammates
  • Lead and coach your team to enable them to grow and develop

Skills and Experience

Must-Have’s

·       Analytics functional leadership in some of the following areas: Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, with experience of leading 10+ people (mix of technical & analysts)

·       Puts people & team first: leads by example with strong emphasis on development, coaching, mentoring, etc.

·       Strategic thinker with an ability to develop, manage and deliver on roadmaps

·       Experience leading and managing transformation, with demonstrable results in enabling change, innovation and delivering business outcomes

·       Strong communicator at all levels, from Executive to Individual Contributor

·       Good at building partnerships and cross-functional collaboration, with an ability to manage conflict in a positive way

  • Comfortable working in a global, matrixed organization
  • Relentless collaborator, connector and learner
  • Strong bias towards action and failing fast
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrated expertise in Sales Funnel, Demand Marketing and/or Account-Based Marketing/Customer segmentation strategies and tactics
  • Pipeline Funnel and Lead Scoring and Management Analysis
  • Understanding of GTM strategy, sales process, Measuring GTM performance and productivity

·       Technically savvy on Data Management, BI, and Data Science tools, and a strong perspective on best in class

Plus:

  • SaaS Software industry experience business preferable
  • Experience with Analytics Governance and data literacy in a large complex enterprise
  • Experience in developing data science solutions and operationalizing at scale
  • Experience in deploying and realizing value from analytics and automation solutions

Education/Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Quantitative Field (Statistics, Econometrics, Management Sciences, Market Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, etc.) – Advanced degree preferred
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge
  • Knowledge of CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, Insightly, etc.) and Marketing Automation Tools (Eloqua, Marketo, etc.)
  • Core analytics visualization tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.)
  • Experience using digital analytics tools like Adobe Marketing Cloud or Google Analytics and connecting online data to offline data sources
  • Some experience with Data platforms and tools, e.g. Snowflake, SQL, AWS, S3, Python, R, Alteryx, Databricks etc.
