BU Description

We are the One BMC Operations Analytics team, a highly functional, growing, business & outcome-focused agile team that enables business groups and departments within BMC. Through our data (lots of it!) analysis, our insights, our insight bots, and applications/tools, we empower our users to self-serve their data/insight needs now and in the future.

About You

As the Lead BI Analyst, you would be responsible for the development and execution of BMC One’s global analytics and reporting strategy – identifying opportunities, provide insights and improve business effectiveness.

You will be focused on Sales Compensation and Commission analytics for providing business insights and driving the effectiveness of program with statistical intelligence. You are highly agile and adept at managing confidential and sensitive information; experience in information security/privacy preferred.

Key Responsibility/Role Expectation
  • Own and manage analytics and maintain database for sales commissions/compensations.
  • Develop analytics cadence for Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly and ad-hoc report.
  • Build analytical apps to deliver insights to help business take data driven decisions.
  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics and monitor the integrity and validity of the sales compensation plans.
  • Partner with global data owners to develop data standards and reporting for time-critical data mapping.
  • Provide support in design and creation of sales compensation plans and incentive programs to drive strategic initiatives and support company objectives.
  • Create compensation models, sensitivity analysis and conduct statistical analysis.
  • Drive the development of sales compensation communication materials for the multiple sales groups.
  • Continuous improvement in sales quota methodology and deployment process.
  • Work with tech teams/IT to ensure that infrastructure for analytics and reporting is robust and suitable to meet current and future needs.

Professional Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Compensation and Commission analytics in the B2B domain with the ability to explore, understand, explain, and solve business problems.
  • 5+ years of experience working with data & visualization tools like SQL Server, MicroStrategy.
  • 5+ Years of experience in building Sales Compensation and Commission statistical models.
  • Extensive understanding of CRM, MAT, MAP, ERP, SQL, ETL, Database Modeling, Visualization, etc.
  • Ability to express complex concepts in simple terms at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in building data science products and operationalizing them at scale will be an added advantage.  
  • Certification in Business Intelligence, Data Visualization, etc. will be an added advantage
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, etc.) OR any relevant field.
  • English fluency - Written and verbal
