Join us as a Program Operations Manager!

As a Program Manager on the GTM team, you will be working to support BMC’s Go-To-Market Operational and Sales teams by collaborating with stakeholders to develop solutions that benefit our customers and align our overall business goals and strategies. You will play a key role in enhancing efficiency across the organization, drive strategic transformation by delivering operational excellence.

The role will be responsible for managing and optimizing the BMC Hyperscaler Marketplace presence and is focused-on driving adoption and sales of software and services within the BMC Hyperscaler Marketplaces. You will work with the Hyperscalers and joint customers and partners to optimize the procurement and joint value of the deployment of cloud-based solutions through Marketplaces. Your responsibilities include best in class execution of Hyperscaler Marketplace processes, enhancements and streamlining the buying process through the Hyperscaler Marketplace to exceed the BMC sales and customer Marketplace needs.

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

  • Collaborate with our Strategic Partners & Hyperscalers Sales stakeholders to align programs with overall business goals and strategies. This involves analyzing market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to drive informed decisions.
  • Analyze Strategic Partners & Hyperscalers performance metrics, including revenue contribution & tiering. Use data-driven insights to enhance partner engagement and success.
  • Develop clear communication plans to keep internal & external stakeholders informed about program updates, changes, and achievements. This includes crafting compelling messages for internal teams, partners, and executives.
  • Streamline processes for sales and partner engagement. Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance while minimizing friction for partners and sales teams. Always consider standard operating procedures & automation.
  • Ensure coordination with all stakeholders responsible for programs including agreements. Oversee that the programs are compliance with legal and business requirements and maintain a well-organized system for tracking those programs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Relationship Management:
    • Foster strong relationships with Hyperscaler Marketplace and Partner Account Managers and other Hyperscaler stakeholders to ensure streamlined Marketplace execution and management and, stay ahead of platform changes and invoke Marketplace best practices.
    • Coordinate with Hyperscaler Marketplace teams to improve product discoverability and to promote our offerings through initiatives and promotions.
    • Own the Global Ecosystem of Indirect 1Tier and 2Tier Marketplace Resell Partners making sure that all BMC Partners are Marketplace Ready.
  • Marketing & Promotion:
    • Work with the Marketplace’s marketing team to drive visibility for our Marketplace offerings through targeted campaigns, webinars, and content creation.
    • Leverage Marketplace’s marketing and promotional opportunities to expand brand recognition and drive engagement for BMC.
    • Promote the Hyperscaler Marketplace tools and programs for BMC pipeline generation (PG)
  • Customer Support & Experience:
    • Ensure a smooth and seamless customer experience throughout the purchasing lifecycle, from product discovery to post-purchase support.
    • Troubleshoot any customer issues related to billing, product access, and general usage of Marketplaces.
    • Manage and maintain 3rd Party Marketplace service providers, such as Tackle.io, for greater Marketplace process efficiency and effectiveness. 
    • Support the Marketplace sales processes including working with customer procurement teams to align Hyperscaler benefits for the customer.
  • Strategic Growth:
    • Automate the Marketplace Private & Public Offerings order process flow.
    • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for expanding our presence and footprint on Marketplaces.
    • Identify new opportunities and trends to enhance our product offerings on Marketplaces.
    • Leverage Hyperscaler Marketplace roadmaps for incremental value, such as AI Private Offerings and AI Account and Territory Mapping.
    • Lead change management and new business workstreams that leverage Marketplaces.

To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset and experience:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in Sales, Business Analysis, Sales Operations, Program Management, preferably within an enterprise software company or similar
  • You have experience handling complex projects with multiple stakeholders and leading complex initiatives from conception to execution in a fast-paced work environment.
  • You have experience working with Marketplaces. Direct experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is preferred.
  • You are proficient in analytics and reporting in order to analyze KPI’s, track performance and recommend improvements based on data insights.
  • You have some familiarity with partner management, especially in the context of indirect sales or managing third-party partnerships & contracts
  • Experience working with sales and marketing automation software. (e.g. Salesforce.com)
