We are very excited to grow our team of Solution Consultants and are specifically looking for someone who has a passion to build and maintain relationships with key Technical Staff and Technical Management within our customers. Experience Needed and Experience Offered:

With your expertise & knowledge of IBM Mainframe Technical skills in System Programming, you will work closely with the Account Managers/Sales Specialists to build compelling Business Cases for the solutions offered by BMC Software on the IBM Mainframe Platform. 

Your main responsibility will be to relate technical requirements into business value/benefit and have an intimate understanding of the customer’s technical and business requirements. 

What We Seek:
  • Provide your technical expertise to the Sales team throughout the process to create a strategy specific to the customer’s needs. 
  • Able to articulate the differences between BMC Mainframe Solutions and our competitor’s solutions and the business value these differences bring to a customer.
  • Great communication skills allowing you to demo our solutions to the customers. 
  • Taking part with the sales teams in completing RFPs and tender documentation. 
  • Carry out and manage Proof of Concepts/Trials at customer sites. This may involve installing the software at the customer site and executing the agreed scenarios with the customer to prove the requested functions. 
  • Deliver product training as required.
  • Present at BMC User Groups and seminars.
  • Work with the customer and BMC Customer Support to ensure the software is working within the customer site.
  • This may involve product installation, ensuring the customer is receiving the expected value from the software. You may need to work on upgrading solutions with latest releases. 
  • Use SFDC to record details of customer activities.
  • Travel as required to customers within the Region. 
  • Travel overseas for BMC Product training and Industry training as required.
Required Skills:
  • To be able to be at your best in this role, you’ll ideally have the following skills: 
  • IBM Mainframe Systems Programming (z/OS or IMS or DB2) 
  • Very Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with customers, prospects, partners and employees at all levels. 
  • Advanced problem-solving skills • Ability to think on your feet to answer customer questions.
