Description and Requirements

A manager (Product Development) is a Technical Manager, with demonstrable abilities around delivery as an individual and also as part of a team. This position has direct responsibility for both development and quality engineer

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
  • This is a Technical and people-centric position. Requires a person who is hands-on, but also able to lead and influence people.
  • The role includes leading a team of Developers, QA engineers and/or customer support technicians. 
  • You require close interaction with other product teams.
  • You need to manage the activities of the Product team, focusing on schedule planning, project management and team productivity.
  • You provide technical guidance to the team.
  • Ensure Development projects are delivered on time and within quality standards using Agile development process.
  • Need to identify Project risks and communicate them.
  • Provide leadership and direct supervision of employees, including hiring, coaching/mentoring and guiding team members (day-to-day, hands-on leadership).
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement throughout diverse/multi-site teams.
  • Functions as the central point of contact for product management and quality assurance.
  • Contributes to and executes long term plans for product architecture and engineering development.
  • May manage budget cost center; otherwise provides input required to effectively manage budget.
  • Possess verbal and presentational skills to allow direct engagement with customers.

  • Experience core enterprise architecture, multiple platforms, web server/application servers, databases, web technologies, and object-oriented programming languages. 
  • Prior lead or management roles in product development (Software Development participant) and deeply involved in project management 
  • Proven experience with agile development and test automation.
  • Proven track record as a project leader.
  • Proven, effective leadership in a technical environment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional, multi-site teams.
  • Experience exercising agile development methodologies is desirable.
  • Experience working with DevOps and unstructured DB technologies is desirable.
