BMC seeks a creative, self-motivated, well-connected communications professional to develop and drive both external and internal communications for EMEA, with emphasis on BMC’s business in the UK, Germany, France, and select countries as needed. You will be an advocate for and represent the communications function in region, while being an active and supporting member of the regional marketing teams. You will also help us build brand recognition and interest with media and influencers, along with having responsibility for helping us customize how we communicate to our employees in region. 

The right candidate possesses extensive media relations experience, is an expert at translating complex technology concepts into approachable stories, commands solid understanding of emerging technologies including Cloud, AI, ML, Cybersecurity, and can exercise high judgment while acting quickly. Additionally, the ability to create content that’s both engaging and informative is a must. You are a strong collaborator and accustomed to working with a globally dispersed team to deliver aligned programs and messaging that supports BMC’s overall vision.

You will partner with the Senior Director of Global Communications and Communications team members, divisional executives, product management and marketing teams to develop and execute messaging, media and influencer strategy, and innovative employee communications strategies and tactics. In this role, you will have an opportunity to shape a newly formed role within a company that’s passionate about relevant and effective global communications.

  • Define, develop, and manage end-to-end execution of PR strategy and programs in-region to drive awareness for divisional product portfolio (launches, events, media engagement, and creative rolling thunder campaigns)
  • Manage local PR agencies in support of global programs and regional activities
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key journalists, bloggers, and influencers in traditional and digital outlets
  • Spearhead internal communications programming in partnership with global employee communications, and other teams, to support in-region needs
  • Support communications needs for regional marketing and sales programs
  • Work globally, and cross-functionally to plan integrated global communication campaigns
  • Write copy for all initiatives, including marketing, internal communications, and PR
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of communications experience
  • Business-to-business technology PR experience required
  • Current experience managing media relationships, and a network of media contacts
  • Experience delivering press tours, events and media interviews
  • Background in customizing content for stakeholders and employees
  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Solid performance and demonstration of successfully representing enterprise software/systems solutions and technologies
  • Detailed-oriented, wired for action and results, and the ability to communicate complex topics effectively
  • Passionate and excited about writing, visual and verbal communications
  • Demonstrated ability to use social media channels to deliver marketing content
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
  • Ability to set strategy, execute flawlessly and measure results effectively
