Title: Manager, Accounting
Location: Pune
 
BU/Product Description & Job Overview:
Having experience in IT Industry will be preferred. CA / CPA equivalent with strong skills in Oracle / Open Air / Oracle Projects / MicroStrategy. The person would be responsible for the Controllership functions for India including General Ledger for India Entities, Receivables, Payables, accruals, Tax, Treasury, compliance activities etc.

Primary Responsibilities: 
  • This position manages the daily activities of the India Entities including General Ledger:
  • You will be having complete ownership of accounting responsibilities including preparation and posting of JEs in Oracle
  • You will be managing month end account reconciliations review and approval, complete ownership of accounts reconciliations, from preparation to open item resolution.
  • You will be involved in payables management including the Accruals, PO approvals, review of spend and PL activities.
  • You will be managing direct and indirect Activities for GST filings, Tax returns, Tax filings, Tax provisions etc.
  • You will be involved in co-ordination with other verticals / departments like AP, AR and other finance/non finance functions.
  • You will be allocating responsibilities within the team in different areas
  • You will reviewing and assigning day to day work and projects.
  • Coaching and developing the accounting team.
  • Preparing and reviewing reports
  • Interfacing with internal and external auditors. Provide requisite data to the auditors and audit query resolution
  • Assessing risk and developing procedures to mitigate those risks.
  • Serving as the liaison with domestic and international locations.
  • Building relationships and interfacing with all levels of the organization, including staff accountants through upper management.
  • Leading special projects.
  • Evaluating processes for continuous improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and develop a team of accounting professionals.
Qualification:
Required Skills:
  • Previous experience managing staff functionally 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to deal with short deadlines in a fast-paced, environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and interface with other non-accounting departments
  • Excellent knowledge of financial principles and accounting practice
  • Strong excel and access database skills.
  • Experience with Oracle 
  • Experience in Open Air will be preferred, alternative Oracle Project experience
  • CA / CPA equivalent preferred
  • Big 4 Accounting experience a plus

Desired (Good to have skills):
  • required with a 8-10 year Industry experience with 4-6 years with responsibility for India region / India Books.
